Spent part of the morning and part of the afternoon out looking for birds. We ended up sighting and photographing 20 different species. We saw another 4 or 5 that we didn't get pictures of. We didn't know what we would see next. We were joking about seeing an Osprey next. Apparently someone else got it instead. What we ended up with were the following: Greater Scaup Black Scoter Surf Scoter Rock Pigeon Song Sparrow Double Crested Cormorant Galaucous Gull Red-breasted Merganser Common Merganser Northern Flicker Killdeer Canada Geese Great Blue Heron Bald Eagle Crow Goldfinch Black Capped Chickadee Hairy Woodpecker European Starling
Spotted but not photographed: Blue Jay American Robin Ring-necked Pheasant Mallard Duck
I will be putting up another post with some of the photos from today but here is probably my favourite for the day.
