Today, we went for a little drive. It was snowing a bit, so wasn't sure what we would find. We stopped at Bouctouche, NB after spotting something on the ice. Once closer, we could see it was a bald eagle, roughly about 3 years old (half white & brown head), standing there, eating something. We watched him for quite a few minutes. Then he took off. In that instant, two adult bald eagles swooped in, with one of them chasing the 3 year old out of (presumably) their territory, and within seconds there was a battle in the air. It only lasted a couple of seconds, but it was amazing to watch :) The adult won, and the 3 year old went in a different direction with a lesson learned for that moment in time. However, he did come back after a little while to get some more food when the 2 adults were farther away on the ice :) Canon 7D Mk ll & Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM + Canon 1.4x lll teleconverter – @560mm, 1/1600, f8, ISO 640, + 3/4 exposure compensation.
