Today while driving around the province, we decided to go check out Cape Jourimain again to see if there was anything interesting. The ice has pretty much melted from the last time we were here. It was cold today though. I wore extra clothes and I still was cold.....lol. Along the way, we stumbled across some greater yellow-legs, a great egret (but too far out to get a good shot), lots of double-crested cormorants (probably 100 of them in one spot), and some Great Blue Herons. On a swampy area before the bridge, there was this guy. He was fishing along the swamp water and then flew across the water in front of the Confederation Bridge. This shot could have been sharper if it wasn't for the heat haze. However, I like the composition with him in front of the bridge. Thought it looked interesting :)
Taken with Canon 7D Mk ll & Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM + Canon 1.4x lll teleconverter @560mm. Effective focal length with this camera was 896mm (uncropped). Shot settings: 1/2000, ISO 500, f8.
