Picture of the Day - "Good Morning To You" - May 14, 2017

This morning after work, we stopped by to see our local eagles. One was perched on a broken branch by the nest and the other flew in with a large stick and started rearranging it to their liking on the nest. After a few minutes, the other one on the perch flew off the branch and went over our heads and proceeded to hunt over the trees in the back (we assumed it was for more nesting material). After another few moments, it came back and was so close when flying by that I didn't have time to zoom out. He/she slightly twisted their head to sort of look at us as if to say 'good morning' as they went by, and then continued to the nest. We left shortly after that as working nights, we were a bit tired, but before we did, I did catch an American Robin on a steel pole fairly close up. I will be sharing those in a future post :)
