Tonight before work, we decided to go down to Sackville, NB to see if we could spot the snowy owl we've seen a couple of other nights previously, before it got too dark. We met up with a few others that we knew, all having the same goal :) The sun was starting to set and making the sky turn pink. We then spotted a snowy owl way in the distance. While watching that one, another one flew in and landed on a post closer to us. I went up around a mound of earth and knelt down to take some pictures of this beauty. She sat there, looking around, preening, and even leaped off the post to the ground after prey and then back up on the post again. On our way out of the marsh, we ended up seeing 2 other female snowy owls. It was a night for the snowy owl :)
