We had gone to Sackville Waterfowl Park yesterday to see what ducks have arrived and to maybe see some song birds, and we seen lots of song birds (coming in another post), but then we spotted this guy. At first we didn't see him as he blended quite well into his surroundings. But then we saw movement and there he was. We didn't know what he was on the start until Roger looked it up on his phone. Come to find out it's a Little Blue Heron. This species is not common to our area, and to see one so close to home, was a thrill :) He had a good meal while we were there as he must have had a half dozen fish and one toad (I think)....lol.
