Picture of the Day - "Scramble" - Jan. 3, 2017

Took another drive down to the Tantramar Marsh to see what we could find. Saw four Bald Eagles, quite few Crows and several Red-tailed Hawks and hundreds of European Starlings. Strangely, the Hawks were mostly out by the highway near the old CBC Radio Station. There was a couple of huge flocks of Starlings there as well. One flock had to have at least a couple of hundred birds. This picture was the result of us watching a Hawk flying towards a tree and then getting a second fly in as well. They only stayed a few seconds and then took off in opposite directions. Taken with Canon 70D, Sigma 150-600mm @ 600mm, 1/2000 sec, f/9 and ISO 500
