We had heard that the Osprey were back for another year, so we have started checking out the local nests. Today we saw, not one, but two pairs sitting on nests. Some of the other nests did not survive the winter very well but some are in real good condition, for the returning birds. There was one major change though. The nest in the Cocagne area used to be on top of a light standard at a disused ball field. The lights were taken down but the nest was relocation to a pole of its own, behind the ball field. We hope to see much more of the returning birds, soon. It is going to be interesting to watch them rebuild the nests, in need of repair.
