Today we took a drive around to see what was out on this (rare) sunny day. We haven't had the best of weather lately and it's been a bit difficult getting out this winter. However, we decided to get out today.
While driving down one road, we spotted something behind some trees just on the side of the road. We stopped and got out and there were 3 deer on the other side. We knelt down to get a better view through the branches as well as to not scare them. To our surprise, they all started to walk out towards us and then stop in between the trees just on the side of the road. There were a few cars that went by and every time a vehicle would go by, they would shy away back into the trees to hide. Then once the car passed, they came out a bit more and watched us. We watched them for quite a few minutes. Roger had gone back beside the car but I was still crouched down not moving. After a few moments, they started coming out of the trees and then crossing the road. Another car was coming down the road and they all started running to the other side and into the woods again.
It was quite a neat experience. Never had deer actually walk towards us to check us out. We usually see the white tails....lol.
These photos are all uncropped.
