Mothers And Children

Along our travels this week, we came across two does and two fawns. One doe and fawn were laying down in the grass, very close to the road. We stopped and got out and slowly went around the car. They saw us, of course, and one mom got up, but didn’t run away and looked at us for a few seconds, then looked at another vehicle that had stopped behind us. After another few seconds, she slowly moved away from the road to join another doe and fawn near the treeline. All four of them continued to graze and ignored us most of the time we were there. We left after a few minutes.

Beautiful creatures.
