Took a short trip out to a couple of local nests to check on the new generation of Eagles. One of the parents, we think the father as it was totally unflustered by us, posed for a few shots before it took off. The little ones gave us a glance but otherwise ignored us. On the way back we also saw an immature Turkey Vulture. It was casually soaring over the fields and road for a few minutes, in the warm summer updrafts. In the two or three minutes that we watched it, we only saw two wingbeats.
