Picture of the Day - "Unconcern" - July 15, 2016

Last night when we got to work, I got a frantic message that one of the eaglets (L'eagle, we found out this morning), had been blown out of the nest and fallen down below the nest. Apparanetly she had been testing her wings in the wind when she was swept over the side. She appeared to be unhurt and started pruning the branches around her to try to work her way back to the nest. She must have done a good job and shortly after sunrise, one of the parents flew in with breakfast and with 3 or 4 hops, she was back in the nest. She was totally unfazed and continued on with her practice. :) Taken with Canon 70D, Canon 100-400 mm @400mm, 1/640 sec, f/5.6 and ISO 500
