Went on a road trip today. Caught the sunrise at the Petitcodiac River in Moncton, checked the eagles nests in Hillsborough and near Hopewell, took a peak at Mary's Point, swung through Fundy, checked out some eagle locations in Penobsquis and finally checked out the Moncton eagles. Sunrise was incredible. The Hillsborough fledglings were out and about. One of the adults made two trips to drop off eels for breakfast. Not a lot happening at Mary's Point but we got some great scenery on the way. In Penobsquis, we saw a few eagles but they were too far to get good pictures of. We did startle a deer in a field though. D'eagle and L'eagle were in the tree above where we normally stand to take pictures of them in the nest. They were very drowsy in the afternoon heat and it didn't look like they were going anywhere.
The picture I choose is of one of the Hillsborough eagles, switching to a perch in a different tree after breakfast was delivered.
